Beijing, July 16, 2025 — The 3rd Sustainable Markets Initiative (SMI) China Forum was successfully held in Beijing as part of the 3rd China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo. This high-level forum brought together key stakeholders to explore the integrated development of electrification and generation-grid-load-storage systems, with in-depth discussions centered on new energy policy coordination, technological breakthroughs, and cross-border investment cooperation. The event aimed to accelerate the global energy transition and promote sustainable development.
Mr. Wang Yuefeng, Chairman of Liyu Group, was invited to attend and delivered a keynote speech on the theme of “Powering the Future—Electrification & the Integration of Generation, Grid, Load, and Storage.” He presented Liyu's innovative practices in distributed energy solutions and shared strategic insights into the company's contribution to the global energy transformation.

Chairman Wang noted that the global energy structure is undergoing a profound transformation. The share of electricity in total energy consumption is rapidly progressing from 30% toward the target of 70%. Achieving this shift requires not only the continuous upgrading of centralized power systems but also strong support from distributed energy networks.
As a leading manufacturer of gas engines and provider of integrated energy solutions, Liyu Group has established distributed energy power plants in more than 20 countries. Through ongoing innovation, the company is driving a fundamental change in how energy is generated and utilized.
Focusing on the "generation" component within the generation-grid-load-storage framework, Chairman Wang emphasized that Liyu, as a gas generator set manufacturer, represents the "source" of power supply in the system. He introduced Liyu's Three-Source Strategy, which includes:
Eco-Source: Targeting the recovery and utilization of industrial exhaust gases, such as annual emissions from China’s steel industry and Shanxi’s coalbed methane. Efficient capture and conversion of these gases can potentially meet 20%–30% of China's power demand.
Clean Source: Promoting the clean use of fossil fuels such as methane to provide near-zero carbon energy supply.
Renewable Source: Advancing the development of sustainable fuels like hydrogen, methanol, and ammonia, which are expected to play a vital role in the future energy landscape.
Liyu Group remains committed to its mission of “Shaping the Future of Green Energy.” By actively implementing the Three-Source Strategy and fostering deep integration across all segments of the electrification chain, the company is contributing practical, replicable solutions for global energy transition. Through these efforts, Liyu is empowering the green and low-carbon upgrading of industrial supply chains worldwide and playing a vital role in building a clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient modern energy system.
