From April 16th to 18th, 2024, the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum took place in New York. Liyu Group, representing Chinese enterprises, was honored to participate in a side event titled "Gathering Youth Power to Address Climate Change."
During the event, Liyu Group delivered a speech via online video, highlighting the crucial role of youth in combating climate change and detailing Liyu's contributions to climate action. The representatives emphasized that climate change is a global challenge requiring innovative and enthusiastic solutions, qualities inherent in the youth. They underscored Liyu’s commitment to nurturing young talent, providing them with opportunities to advance in the new energy sector.
Liyu Group's focus includes two core strategies: the electrification of combustible greenhouse gases and the low-carbon application of energy and electricity. The company is deeply involved in the research, development, and manufacturing of new energy power generation equipment, as well as in EPC engineering and power plant project investment and operation. Liyu has achieved notable success domestically and is actively expanding internationally, providing clean electricity worldwide. Currently, Liyu delivers 8.8 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually and has a total installed capacity of 1,200 MW from gas-fired internal combustion generator sets. Looking ahead, Liyu will continue to advance its international strategy, strengthening collaborations in wind energy, solar energy, energy storage, and other fields to drive the global energy sector towards low-carbon and clean solutions.
This participation at the forum not only showcased Liyu Group's influence in the new energy sector but also highlighted our commitment and responsibility in addressing global challenges. Liyu Group remains dedicated to the principles of openness, cooperation, and innovation, working with young leaders worldwide to achieve sustainable development goals.
The ECOSOC Youth Forum serves as a platform for global young leaders to engage in dialogue and advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
